Sensors Reed and GMR
Magnetic sensors for pneumatic cylinders react directly to the change of the magnetic field. These sensors are meant for correct positioning of the executive mechanisms and control of the course of cylinders. Their task is the generation of the signal, at the moment, when the piston of the cylinder reaches definite position along the length of the course. After the signal is received, the managing system gives course of the next operation. Magnet, installed on the piston, is revealed through the wall of the body, which is made from non-magnetic material (e.g. aluminium, messing or stainless steel). The created magnetic field goes through the non-magnetic pipe, moves, along with the piston and it is caught by the sensors, which are installed externally on the body of the pneumocylinder on the desired place from the course. Working distance is a few tens of millimeters.
Magnetic sensors are used for contactless determination of the position of objects, even at high frequency of switching over. They can be found through the walls of such materials as nonferrous metals, stainless steel, aluminium, plastic or wood.
With such systems often are carried out various movements, related to the automation of separate processes in the tasty food industry, foundry industry, chemical and biotechnological lines etc.
Our company produces sensors on the basis of herkoni (hermetisation sockets or Rid sockets). In a hermetic, non-magnetic body (often glass ampoule) there is a socket, which is normally open or normally closed. When a magnetic field is approached, the socket closes or opens mechanically and activates the respective electrical chain. The most positioning sensors have installed in the body LED-indicator. This type of devices work equally well with direct and indirect current. Rid sockets are mechanical devices, which if are properly used distinguish themselves with long exploitation life. Their advantages are: high sensitivity, ability to switch over at high voltages, low price and good repeat.

Another kind of sensors are the sensors GMR(Giant MagnetoResistance)
Gmr Pnp Sensor
Basic advantage of GMR resistors are their small dimensions, significant exit voltages, large sensitivity and temperature stability and comparatively low price.
There are a lot of applications of GMR-sensors.
Basic advantage of GMR resistors are their small dimensions, significant exit voltages, large sensitivity and temperature stability and comparatively low price.
There are a lot of applications of GMR-sensors.
In industrial applications, they are used for finding of magnetic objects, openings in plates of ferromagnetic materials, detection of the presence or absence of electrical conductive materials, the availability of defects in them, the presence of iron oxide in black ink of the banknotes, for finding of conducting underground pipes and even not conducting water pipes, for measuring of electrical current. In the medicine they are used for control of magnetic fields, which are aroused by physiological functions of the organism, for control of the body’s position, mainly of the head, in order to be received biological probes and measuring of DNA, for establishment of the concentration of anti-bodies in the blood of patients.
